The month of April presented a special opportunity to support Cesar Chavez Elementary graduating students with attending summer camp. For many communities across the United States summer camp is readily accessible for students during their graduation year. For Cesar Chavez Elementary students in San Diego, CA it’s an opportunity which is created through special events and fund raising.
Sharing the vision for the students with school Principal Francisco Santos we recognize the need for kids to experience independence and community among peers. Gaining life experiences which will prepare them for the years to come in Middle School and beyond. Camp nurtures social skills through community away from home and school where kids learn to work with each other and adult mentors, build relationships and manage conflict.
Kids develop as individuals living uniquely self-expressed along with
team building skills while enjoying the relationships of long-term friendships.
